Quaint Costa Rican charm en route to other attractions! We loved the secluded and peaceful atmosphere of Mirador Valle Del General. The rustic apartments provided a lovely, clean space with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The delicious cooked-to-order breakfasts overlooking the San Isidro Valley were a highlight. We also appreciated the availability of locally made art, coffee, and gifts for purchase. we highly recommend this delightful retreat in the hills.

Friendly and helpful staff who speak English well. Rustic and charming with a cozy cabin-camping feel. Lovely terrace for enjoying the delicious national breakfast with a view of colibries. No issues changing dates, manager was super friendly and helpful. Limited number of rooms provide a secluded and quiet atmosphere.

One downside is that the hotel is located on the side of a mountain, which means there is a challenging climb from the main road and restaurant. This could be difficult for those with weak clutches or older legs.

The double bed in our room was a bit small. The steep drive or walk to the parking lot and restaurant may not be suitable for everyone.

We also appreciated the free breakfast, the abundance of hummingbirds, and the convenient location near National Quetzal Park.
